About ANJEF

A Legacy of Excellence in Tema, Ghana

ANJEF International School was founded with a singular purpose: to make world-class education accessible to families in Tema and the wider Greater Accra Region. Since our founding, we have grown from a small nursery into a thriving school community serving pupils from Montessori through to A-Level and WASSCE.

Our school community is built on mutual respect, academic ambition and a genuine love of learning. We are proud to be a school where every child is known by name, every achievement is celebrated and every challenge is met with support.

Our Journey

Our History

Over two decades of shaping futures and building a proud educational legacy in Tema, Ghana.

1998
ANJEF is Founded

ANJEF International School opens its doors in Tema Ashaiman New Quarters with a small nursery and Kindergarten programme, welcoming its first class of pupils.

2002
Primary School Established

Growing demand leads to the launch of the full Primary School programme, Years 1–6, providing a seamless educational journey for families.

2007
IGCSE Programme Launched

ANJEF becomes an accredited Cambridge International School, introducing the IGCSE pathway alongside the Ghana BECE qualification.

2012
A-Level & WASSCE Sixth Form

The Senior Secondary (Sixth Form) opens, offering A-Level and WASSCE pathways. First cohort achieves outstanding university admission results.

2016
New Campus & Science Block

A major infrastructure expansion delivers a new science laboratory complex, computing suite and expanded library to serve our growing community.

2020
Montessori Accreditation

Our Early Years programme is formally accredited under the AMI Montessori framework, cementing our position as a pioneer of early childhood education in the region.

2024
Ranked Top IGCSE School · Tema

ANJEF International School is recognised as the top-performing IGCSE school in the Tema Region for the third consecutive year, with a 96% A-Level pass rate.
